COCKROACHES: STARVE ‘EM OUT!

COCKROACHES: STARVE ‘EM OUT!

Cockroaches can be a headache to get rid of, but there are certain measures you can take to keep them out of your home or business. Cockroaches can find something to eat just about anywhere. They eat crumbs, pet food, dead leaves, and trash. If they get really hungry, they might even eat glue or soap. If you are struggling to get rid of these pests, the number one way is to starve them out!

Here Are 10 Ways To Prevent Roaches:

Unwashed dishes – Do not leave dirty dishes and utensils out overnight. This is a major attraction for roaches.

Trash – Empty all trash as often as possible. Especially in the kitchen.

Dried food – Keep all dried food such as flour, cereal and pet food in sealed containers.

Sweep or vacuum – remember to clean after meals, especially around areas where children eat and may drop food particles on the floor.

Standing water – Don’t leave water standing in sinks or under potted plants.

Pet food – Leftover dog food should be removed from the dog dish each day.

Microwaves & toasters – Clean crumbs from inside of the microwaves and toasters.

Spills and leaks – Roaches depend more on moisture than they do on food, they can only live a week without water. It’s important to ensure that leaks or spills under refrigerators, water heaters, sinks, toilets and washers are free of excess liquid.

Drains – Starve cockroaches by keeping your drains clean! Cockroaches live and breed in our sewer system. They thrive on the build-up of fats and oils in sewer lines.
